Chance juxtapositions sometimes determine what affects our reading and thinking. The title of the work “Read one thing. Read something else. Go back to the first thing and see how it is changed.” is a quotation from filmmaker Moyra Davey who wrote that “accident is the lifeblood of photography.” Here two text fragments are combined visually while the artist reads the texts sequentially and simultaneously. The vertical spine of the concordance creates a new message while keeping those principal words in their original contexts.
